This list of coronavirus safety tips during travel are things, some of which my mom followed even when I was a kid and I realized that it came so naturally to us. Of course there was no prevelance of hand sanitizer and wipes back in that time and hence things have become more convenient for us.

So without further ado, here goes the list of 10 Coronavirus safety tips during travel:
Remember, the parts which are most prone to infection are check in counter, luggage trolleys, security check trays, cab door handles, bag zippers, washrooms and of course the seats.
1. Sanitize your hands immediately after you touch any public surafces like seats or check in counter and objects handled by other people like boarding pass or passports.
2. Whenever you find an option to wash your hands with soap, opt for it as its more effective vs a hand sanitizer
3. Wipe the surface where you keep your hand bags as we end up holding our hand bags from different places, taking out things from it by putting it in our lap etc so make sure wherever its kept is a clean surface and also wipe it from the bottom whenever possible to be doubly sure.
4. Keep your face mask on as much as possible, as its not just about filtering the microbes from the air, but also avoiding to touch your nose and mouth with an infected hand.
5. Keep a smaller pack of antimicrobial wipes handy to wipe anything that you pick from airport to eat or drink. Goes without saying, you can only wipe the container and not the food itself.
6. As much as possible eat hot food as when anything is cooked or heated up at high temperatures, chances of the microbes dying are high while they thrive in cold objects (like the virus is known to survive for 12hrs on a cold metal surface)
7. As soon as you reach home or your hotel, take a shower and change clothes to avoid any contamination
8. After washing your hands make sure to not touch the washroom doors or any other surface with your bare hand. Just pick a tissue and touch everything with that
9. Carry your own food (especially for the kids) if possible, as that reduces your interaction with external entities and chances of kids touching 100 other things too
10. Hang a small sanitizer on the kids’ backpacks too, this gets them interested in using it on all possible occassions without you having to nag them over it.
