Guess who showed up on my coffee? Latte Art in Dubai

After the project day at my daughter’s school I just stopped by this gourmet grocery store which also has a cafe with a very unusual name considering the focus on dieting and nutritional food these days.
Tub of Butter as it’s known, is a marketplace offering an enticing selection of handcrafted products including exotic olive oils, barrel aged balsamic vinegars, gourmet jams, honeys, mustards, and pastas for each taste.
Tub of Butter claims its signature artisanal gourmet grocery items to be the ideal complement to any food lover’s pantry sourced amongst the highest quality  specialty food items.

And what exactly does this have to do with my reviewing this place and the title of my post? Well, Tub of butter is known for its Latte Art wherein you find an image of one of the well known figures of Bollywood, Hollywood, known leaders (like the ruling family of UAE) etc on your frothy latte (available at any time of the day).
Their gastronomic offering doesn’t stop at coffee, though that may be the reason a lot of people got to know about ToB in the first place. Their breakfast spread is quite delectable too.

The Tub of Butter

1. 1. Cuisine: Cafe and Pattiserie serving Mediterranean inspired cuisine. Tub of Butter has an extremely tempting desserts menu with options for everyone: vegetarians, vegans, with and without nuts, chocolate lovers et al.

      This is their only location in Dubai.

      Great service, quick and with a smile. very patient and take their time in suggesting you what might be the best option given dietary choices.

      Earthy tones of browns, white and ceramic mixed with light sky blue gives the place a very grounded feel. Its a large space which houses the grocery store, deli, children’s play corner and their kitchen too. Gourmet grocery is spread out over a larger area so you can take your time browsing through the items without rush. There is a patisserie separating the grocery and deli, which serves delicious desserts.
